Our first vending experience was at Spartanburg's Upstate Pride this last weekend! We got there at 10, a little later than planned, but after being quickly pointed to our spot we were able to set up in an hour! We met so many great people, volunteers and other vendors as well as all the amazing visitors! Seeing such a variety of people coming together warmed my heart, even as the chill of the morning shade cooled my body! But the day warmed up, and so did the music! Throngs of people decked out in rainbows and a wide variety of Pride Flags. We look forward to hearing from those who took cards with an interest in having custom work done. We also made a number of Pride necklaces on site for people, because we didn't have enough of some of the newer Pride necklaces we've added to our collection. In regard to the Pride necklaces, I'm happy to announce that we raised almost $100 for Tranzmission, a non-profit out of Asheville, NC, that among other things hosts name change clinics and advocates for trans and non-binary identifying persons.
It was such a great experience, and already can't wait for next year! Thank you Upstate Pride!
